A Passion for His Craft and Community

Get To Know Dr. Jason Burns

Dr. Jason Burns grew up in Ahwatukee and earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University. Although he had a wonderful time attending Indiana University School of Dentistry and experiencing all the midwest has to offer, Dr. Burns was eager to return to the desert sun and be close to family.

Dr. Burns is passionate about the needs and goals of his patients, tailoring treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes and a truly individualized experience. Patients can trust that they will receive straightforward advice and recommendations, ensuring they make informed decisions about their dental health.

In his free time, Dr. Burns enjoys watching all sports, but especially the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, and ASU football. He loves golfing, spending time with his wife and kids and being in the sunshine (especially if it’s on a beach somewhere).

Front Office

Alexis is the first friendly face you see as you walk into East Valley Dentistry. She is dedicated to helping patients with every step of their dental visit from making patients feel comfortable, scheduling their appointments, and discussing treatment options to processing their insurance claims. She is our insurance and billing expert always ready to help answer patient questions or concerns She has worked in the dental field since 2003 as a dental assistant, treatment coordinator, insurance specialist and office manager. Alexis is an Arizona native, attended ASU, mother of 3, a dog and a bearded dragon. Outside of the office she spends her time swimming, boating, being a Colorado River junkie, traveling, and watching Netflix.

Derek has been practicing Dental Hygiene for over 10 years. He moved to Arizona from Oregon in 2019 with his wife and three daughters. When not helping patients with their oral health, he enjoys going on adventures with his family, hiking, heavy metal, playing music, weightlifting and remodeling his house. Derek chose his profession so he could work alongside his patients to see their oral health transformations and progress over time. He has a gentle but thorough touch and looks forward to helping you achieve a happy and healthy smile.

Emery is a native Arizonan, who after completing her prerequisites at Mesa Community College, enrolled into Carrington College’s dental hygiene program. Emery is passionate about patient education and helping people maintain healthy smiles. Emery graduated with an Associates in Dental Hygiene in December of 2021 and started working shortly after. Emery is also a photographer and loves connecting with people and building new friendships. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, doing anything outdoors, and reading books.

Your First Visit

Feel at Home

You will be welcomed by one of our friendly team members, and we’ll answer any insurance or financing questions you may have to make your appointment as seamless as possible. After a thorough cleaning by one of our hygienists, you’ll meet with Dr. Burns and receive a comprehensive oral exam, complete with any necessary x-rays. Before leaving, we can also schedule any future visits and sign you up for our in-house membership plan.

WHAT TO BRING

To make sure your first visit goes as smoothly as possible, be sure to bring the following items to your appointment:

  • Photo ID
  • Insurance Card (if using) and/or Form of Payment
  • Completed New Patient Forms
  • Questions

Our CEREC Scanner allows for clear and detailed 3D images of your mouth, while our milling machine cuts crowns, bridges, and more using impressions to create a perfect fit. We also offer digital x-rays and CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) to capture the most accurate data in 3D form.
